“Ate, para ka nang madre!”
My mom told me a few weeks ago…
not to make fun of me but to signal a deeper realization of the mission I’d been entrusted with through @mariaandi.shop 🌸
Then I realized, it’s true —
my work is so repetitive that my mind and heart have the luxury to intercede 🥹
I string beads together, knot a hundred times a day, fold boxes, and pack orders. It’s all become muscle memory to me that my mind needs somewhere to wander! Not to mention my super extroverted personality! And I’m alone for most of the day!
That’s where ‘Interceding’ comes in —
In my heart and mind, I’m constantly talking to Mama Mary, St. Joseph, the saints I remember/am asking prayers from, my/a loved one’s Guardian Angel, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father.
I pray for those whom I’m making Rosaries for,
for loved ones I think of, for people I don’t know and may be struggling, and for customers who have yet to discover the shop.
I’m also constantly asking my boss, the bestest Mama Mary, what I should be doing, how I should do things, and when the next sale will come in 🤭
“Ate, para ka nang madre!” comes with its own set of heavy crosses but seeing my calling from this perspective makes it all worth it! What a gift it is to share in the life of the Church! The prayers of our dear religious/consecrated monks make the world go round. My prayers, joined with yours, are heavenly songs to the ears of our God 💐
I’m so aware that it’s a luxury to have such space in my life to be in constant communication with God but I encourage you to take baby steps!
✅ “Jesus, this job is so hard.”
✅ “Mama Mary, guide this person now.”
✅ “Lord, I don’t wanna attend the meeting. Help me”
✅ “St. Carlo Acutis, this website is so nice!.”
✅ “St. Padre Pio, please pray to take away my headache right now.”
✅ “God, I’m very happy to be here. Thank you!”
…let me know how it changes your life 🥰
You’re being prayed for, Friend 🩵
