because it feels like You won’t…
That, my friends, is why I have a hard time
surrendering to Jesus! 🫣
I want to hold on to what I want to happen and relentlessly work for it to make sure I get what I want when I want it!
Surrendering would be giving up because it’d allow God to say ‘No’…and I’m not taking that for an answer.
So I work & work & ironically pray that God aligns His will with mine until I hit a wall and realize I’ve held onto it too tightly for too long. I have no choice but to open my hands to relieve the pain 😮💨
When I give Jesus the ‘go signal’,
He comes in to heal.
Never to reprimand me for being so stubborn;
only to heal 🥹
➡️ But let’s go back to Him giving me what I want! ⬅️
Is there 100% guarantee that when I surrender,
I’ll get EXACTLY what I want?
Unfortunately, no.
But is there 100% guarantee that when I surrender,
He’ll give me EXACTLY what my heart desires?
🌟 As I’ve been experiencing it, 100x YES 🌟
No one knows (not even ourselves) our hearts better than Jesus does. In our limited human capacity, we think that what we want right now is what our hearts truly desire…but we don’t know how exactly our longings are to be satisfied. Both unfortunately and fortunately, only Jesus does!
💌 Friends, ‘Surrender’ is a really difficult verb 💌
Thankfully, we have a really patient & understanding God. He loves us so much not to withhold His great plans for us no matter how stubborn or self-sufficient we choose to be.
When we finally decide to give Jesus everything,
be assured that He’ll come to the rescue quicker
than we could revoke the decision ❤️🔥😂
Ultimately, He is what we deeply long for.
He’s what & who our hearts desire.
So however way our prayers get answered,
He will be there. ❤️🔥
